Cyprus Business Delegation to New York, 30 November 2017


The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry & Tourism are organizing a Business Delegation and Forum in New York, between 29 November and 2 December 2017. The Minister of Energy Commerce Industry & Tourism Mr. Yiorgos Lakkotrypis will be leading the Delegation with the aim to promote, expand and encourage stronger business relations between Cyprus and the USA. The Delegation is supported by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cyprus (AmCham), the Cyprus Embassy Trade Center in New York.

Cyprus has developed as one of the world’s most promising international business centers, one of the most attractive European jurisdiction for multinational investments and an ideal location for regional headquarters for companies operating in Europe, Middle East and North Africa.

With 62 Double Taxation Agreements, an efficient low-tax system, a conducive intellectual property regime and full EU membership, Cyprus offers numerous strategic advantages and new investment opportunities in various fields.

Cyprus is one of the fastest growing investment fund centers in Europe, adhering to best practice of fund investor protection and anti-money laundering policies. Efficient regulations facilitating the establishment and management of alternative investment funds and venture capital investment funds have successfully posed Cyprus a uniquely competitive entry point to the EU.

World Trade Center Cyprus, an active member of the New York World Trade Centers Association, has been assigned the organization of the Forum and the Business to Business (B2B) meetings that will take place in New York “Marriott Marquis”, on the 30th of November 2017.
